Hello!
A photo of me cosplaying as an adult.
The impulse to make sense of life through image-making has been with me as long as I can remember. When I was little, I spent hours losing myself in drawings of cats, fantasy creatures, and my best Archie comic renditions. As a 20-something, I earned a BFA in painting and printmaking, followed by a degree in graphic design. In my early thirties, I obtained a nursing degree, and that’s what I do for my day job now. In addition to drawing, I’m an avid reader and an enthusiastic runner.
My partner, Jeremy, is an artist and designer. We have two kids, Quoyle (16) and Clementine (9). I won’t discuss or post many pictures of them on this blog because I think they should control what is posted about them online. We also have one weird little dog named Wavey and a cracked-out cat named Gnome.
Some of the stuff I’ll likely post about are sketches that aren’t “portfolio worthy”, pieces I’m working on, artists I admire, and anything else that is rolling around in my mind palace.
Thanks for reading and taking the time to look at my work!
